Homer Warren (1948 - 2002) was a well-regarded Navajo artist from the Bluff, Utah area who carved people, trucks and animals out of sandstone. Warren was part of the Navajo Folk Art revival of the late 20th Century along with artists like Willeto, Mamie Deschellie and Delbert Buck. This truck and horse were cut and rasped from local sandstone and then painted with bright acrylic colors. There is some deterioration along the driver’s side rear fender but is a very sold piece. Signed by the artist on the bottom, dated 2000, 3 x 3 ¼ x 6 ¼ inches.
