Otto Pentewa Miniature Kachina Doll
Miniature kachina doll by well-known carver Otto Pentewa (1886–1961), this doll perhaps represents the Heheya kachina with the zigzags on its head, made from cottonwood root, pigment, and string at the top which would have held feathers in place. On the bottom of the feet are a painted line and stamped “25c”, circa 1930s, stands 2 inches tall.
