Sweet Santo Domingo Pueblo Double Strand Fetish Necklace with carved shell fetishes featuring bears, fish, frog, birds, foxes (and more). Beautifully designed, the fetishes are separated by heishi beads; on one strand there is a turquoise bead between each fetish, and on the other strand there are two between each fetish. There are also two coral beads and one lapis bead placed on the strands in a random way; the necklace is string on woven and waxed cotton and the clasp is a silver wire hook and loop; circa 1960s, 29 inches long.
