Pair of Handcarved Wood Cherub Faces

Late 19th Century Italian or French Putti or Cherubim faces, with abundant curls, plump cheeks and cupid’s bow lips; the wood is stained walnut brown, and the wood grain shows through beautifully. Not identical, but clearly matched, the pair each have a saw-toothed picture hanger on the back (installed fairly recently), 3 ½ x 4 ½ x 2 ½ inches
